Jonathan is a first generation bison rancher and Co-Founder of Roam Free Bison Bites. A 2009 US Air Force Academy graduate with a degree in Systems Engineering, Jon served five years as Test Engineer, Program Manager and Special Forces Commander for the Test Parachutist Program. After leaving the military in 2014, Jon spent three years building a bison ranch from the ground up. To finance the ranch build, he founded and operated a commercial field fencing business, serving federal contracts as well as a residential construction company based in Seattle. Jon has a deep passion for preserving our national mammal, the bison and studying the science of holistic land management.
Brittany is a first generation bison rancher and Co-Founder of Roam Free Bison Bites. A strategic marketer by trade and entrepreneur at heat, Brittany is passionate about developing brands and new health products. Brittany spent 9 years as a Marketing Director at the Boeing Company, where she focused on reviving the Boeing brand and serving as a brand consultant to airline customers. During that time she also launched a Paleo food company in Dubai and finished her MBA at Seattle Pacific University. Brittany is dedicated to improving the health of all Americans and regenerating our #1 most endangered ecosystem, native grasslands.
There’s little or no fat in Bison, right? How would you add fat to jerky? I do like the ‘easy to grab’ feature.
Lots of Bison is being sold at Fred Meyers in the meat dept. I will have to do some checking on it.
